Program Introduction

The Diesel Equipment Technology program at North Metro Technical College prepares individuals for opportunities in the Diesel Equipment field. Think about it; everything you own was:

• Grown or Mined from the ground;
• Transported via train or truck;
  
• Produced or Processed using energy from a power plant;
• Then delivered to you or a retailer, again by train or truck

Who keeps the machines running? Someone has to. As one slogan says, "America Runs on Trucks"

Checking out the Big Toys

Our Diesel classes (morning and evening) grouped up and visited Komatsu North America's Southern Regional facility early in August 2007.

To say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement; memories of the visit kept me awake for days afterward. If you ever have the chance to observe Heavy Equipment operating In Person you too might be left in awe and amazement.
